Amazon Kindle Review
I bought a Kindle as soon as they came out, and I love it. It’s so light I don’t realize i have it with me most of the time and slim as well, really only about the same width as an ordinary magazine.
I was a little worried at first that it might be difficult to read, but it’s designed to read like ink, the same a piece of printed paper. the 6 inch screen also has no glare, like a normal notebook or smart phone has which is especially useful is you are reading outside or in direct sunlight.
The other thing that is really cool about the kindle is that no matter how long you are suing it for it does not get hot which is excellent. The text can be easily changed to a larger or even smaller font and the pictures can be zoomed in on to fill the whole screen.
There is a button on either side to turn pages with and a 5 way controller to adjust and flip through articles with.
The whole thing works on a wireless systems. This means that it comes in a box and will work straight out of it. The systems connects onto to the Amazon online network with no fees or contracts to worry about, it’s all included in the price. An average book can also be downloaded in less that 60 seconds.
The battery will last 4 days with the wireless turned on all the time. However, you don’t need it to be turned on except when you are downloading so when it’s off the battery will last 2 weeks or so.
The Kindle comes with either a special power adapter, or a USB cable to plug into a PC, Mac or notebook.
There is a large and ever growing number of books available for kindle which now sits at over 300,000. I love it and wouldn’t go back to ordinary books now, my only criticism of it is that it is not cheaper.
